Jess Ramberg

Events & Community

Little Stumps Racing / Founder and CEO

As a former Director of Events for SCC, it’s all about building real connections and community. From city to city, it’s incredible to see relationships form, stories shared, and a leadership team
that truly cares about people over everything else.

SCC isn’t just a network, it’s a community, and being a member means being part of something real.

SCC it’s a great organization for any current, up-and-coming, or future creative talent that wants to Work In Sports. It’s a huge community that supports each other and really helps every member advanced their career. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking at one of their events, and it was a great networking opportunity and mentoring opportunity.

SCC really is the place to be if you want to work in sports as a creative.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment / Producer

I joined SCC a couple of seasons ago and it has been an awesome tool in my toolbox. From practical uses, like finding freelance help in other markets to just asking for help for a particular project, SCC is a shortcut to resources that I need in a timely fashion.

But beyond that, SCC has helped me be a better professional, a better networker, and keeps me up to date with industry trends.
And no one throws a better Happy Hour meet-up for sports creatives. Onward and upward to SCC and hope you do 10x for others as you have done for me.

Race Sercices / Creator

The SCC community was crucial in helping me get WAY more connected in this world, especially when I was in college. When I was a sophomore, I joined and landed an internship with Fresh Tape Media, and Avalon Koenig became my mentor! Two summers later, I had the NBA Draft, MLS All-Star, the Super Bowl, and working with Bad Bunny under my belt.

In this line of work, I've been lucky enough to travel the world, shoot all kinds of projects, and make so many friends,
and none of this would've been possible if I hadn't gotten my foot in the door with the SCC community.

James Moton

VP & CFO

Garden State Community Collective

The Sports Creative Community has been nothing short of transformational in my life and career. Matt Desmond’s vision goes far beyond connecting sports creatives online; it’s about building a true family, a place where talent meets opportunity and where we lift each other up.

Through SCC, I’ve not only expanded my network, but I’ve had the privilege of helping others find jobs aligned with their passions and encouraging peers to keep chasing their dream roles when doors seemed closed. This community embodies collaboration over competition; it’s where ideas are shared, voices are heard, and careers are ignited.

SCC didn’t just bring me closer to the sports industry; it made me feel connected to something bigger: a movement committed to empowering and uniting creatives worldwide. Matt’s leadership is proof that when you create space for people to be seen and supported, incredible things happen.

SCC has been a game changer. Most of the time it’s virtual, but the in-person networking events take it to another level. You’re surrounded by sports creatives on the same vibe—sharing ideas, swapping stories, and connecting with people who really get it.

Always nice to have a community no matter where in the world you are. Anytime I meet a young creative trying to break in, I always point them here. It’s one of the best ways to get plugged in and start opening doors. Something I wish I had when I was getting started.
