The Sports Creative Community (SCC) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you join our membership, use our website, or participate in our Slack workspace.

  • Account Information: When you join SCC, we collect your name, email address, and professional details.

  • Profile & Portfolio Data: Information you choose to share in your "Interview" or portfolio, including videos, brand history, awards, and social media links.

  • Engagement Data: To provide value to our members, we log when profiles are viewed. This includes the viewerId, ownerId, and a timestamp.

  • Payment Information: Payments are processed through secure third-party providers (like Wix Payments, Stripe, or PayPal). SCC does not store your full credit card details on our servers.

  • Communications: Records of your interactions with us via email (sportscreativecommunity@gmail.com), our website contact form, or our chatbot.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and maintain your membership and Slack access.

  • Power the SCC Creator Marketplace, allowing members to find and collaborate with one another.

  • Provide analytics to members (e.g., "Unique Views within the last 30 days").

  • Send unique coupon codes, community updates, and event invitations.

  • Ensure compliance with our Code of Conduct and Membership Terms.


3. Information Sharing & Visibility

  • Member Marketplace: By launching your "Interview," your professional profile becomes visible to other logged-in SCC members. You can manage your visibility settings in your dashboard.

  • Third-Party Services: We share necessary data with service providers that help us run the community, such as Wix (hosting/CMS) and Slack (communication). These partners are only permitted to use your data to provide these specific services.

  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the community.


4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures provided by the Wix platform to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your login credentials confidential.


5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like our internal View Logger) to analyze trends, administer the website, and track users’ movements around the site to provide a personalized community experience.


6. Your Rights & Choices

  • Profile Management: You can update or delete your profile information at any time via the Member Resources Page.

  • Communication Preferences: You can opt-out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our messages.

  • Account Deletion: To fully delete your account and data, please contact us at sportscreativecommunity@gmail.com.


7. Children's Privacy

SCC is intended for a professional audience. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
