Sports Creative Community Membership Terms & Policy

The Sports Creative Community (“SCC,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization focused on supporting and connecting creatives within the sports industry through events, education, media, and community initiatives.

By completing your purchase and joining the Sports Creative Community (SCC), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. No Refund Policy
All membership purchases and renewals are final. SCC does not offer refunds, credits, or prorated billing for memberships cancelled mid-term.

2. Code of Conduct & Professionalism
Membership is a privilege, not a right. You agree to adhere to the SCC Code of Conduct and Membership Terms at all times.

Be Kind: We maintain a professional, supportive, and respectful environment. Harassment, bullying, or unprofessional behavior will result in immediate removal without a refund.
Non-Solicitation: To protect our community experience, members may not use the Slack workspace or Member Directory for unsolicited sales pitches, mass-messaging, or "spamming" other members' DMs. All outreach should be professional and relevant to collaboration or recruitment.

3. Content, Intellectual Property & Directory Visibility

Authorization: You are solely responsible for any content, media, or work samples you upload to your SCC Interview or Portfolio. You represent and warrant that you own or have the explicit authorization to share all content added to your profile.
Responsibility: SCC is not responsible for user-uploaded content. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates copyright laws or our community standards.
Marketplace Visibility: By creating a profile and launching your "Interview," you agree to be visible in the members-only marketplace. You may manage your visibility settings within your account dashboard.

4. Use of Likeness & Promotion
By participating in the SCC community, you grant SCC the right to use screenshots of the member marketplace, community-wide Slack discussions (with sensitive info redacted), and photos or videos from in-person or virtual events for promotional purposes, including newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.

5. Age & Eligibility Requirements

General Membership: You must be at least 18 years of age to join the Sports Creative Community.
Event Attendance: For the safety and compliance of our venues, you must be at least 21 years of age to attend in-person SCC events.

6. Slack Workspace Access

Membership Dependency: Access to the SCC Slack workspace is a benefit of your active paid membership. If your membership expires or is terminated, your Slack access will be revoked immediately.

7. Automatic Renewal

Subscription Management: To ensure uninterrupted access to your benefits and Slack, your membership is set to auto-renew annually at the then-current rate. You can manage your subscription or turn off auto-renewal at any time via your Account & Settings page.

8. Termination of Service
SCC reserves the right to terminate or suspend membership access at our sole discretion if a member is found to be in violation of these terms or our Code of Conduct.
